Decore and very friendly and helpful staff
The fridge did not work
Very uniqe and interesting design. Nice staff.
The stay at the Emperor was superlative. The room was fantastic. The free mini bar and cakes every afternoon were appreciated. The staff were amazing, their English was excellent and they accommodated every request. The weather report every day was great. The roof top bar had the best view across the Forbidden City and the food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. General ambiance was outstanding. Hotel is located in a quiet Hutong area, close to everything. Taxis are readily available and the night food market is a 20 minute walk. Breakfast had both Asian and western choices.Free internet was fast and reliable.I Will definitely stay at this hotel again if I visit Beijing. It was one of the nicest places I have stayed.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions and needs.
The shower seriously flooded the bathroom.
Drinks in Minibar included in Roomprice...
Very luxurious boutique hotel, big rooms, nice touch that they name the rooms after the chinese emperors and gave a stamp as a souvenir from your stay, very good buffet breakfast, great views of forbidden city from the rooftop terrace. Free bicycles to explore the city.
Staff at the desk spoke English and was very helpfull
They have free wifi, deserts sent to your room everyday around 6pm, and best of all the toilet floor is heated. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, able to introduce good restaurants and places of interests.
The staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Great help for people who only know English. They spoke it well!
Beds were uncomfortable. Too hard.
Roof terrace, breakfast, design, location.
Rooms are clean comparing other hotels I had been to in China.
it was definitely not luxury or design hotel.. It was 3 stars hotels without elevator. So it made this hotel two stars.Staffs were not good at English. They did not offer the information about city tour. I asked about taking a bus but they asked me to take a taxi. Taxi drivers did not know the hotel. Many difficulties in taking a taxi.
How accomodating the staff was. The room we originally booked was not available and the upgraded room we were given was absolutely amazing. The staff was very frirendy and efficient. Upon check-in, I asked the receptionist about an adaptor to which she informed me that I will need to get in contact with the housekeeping staff - we were in our room no longer than 1 minute and the housekeeping staff had brought us an adaptor. I wish I could remember the lady's name at the front desk which helped us because her work did not go unnoticed.
The staff attitude is great. Either generally Beijing is full of nice people, or somehow they have found the sweetest and most service oriented youngsters!
room floors rattle! The wooden laminates are defective. And there is too much use of upholstery all around that is not the cleanest!
Staff very friendly and good breakfast. Also an excellent view from the roof terrace (pollution pending of course!). All in all I enjoyed my stay there and would go back. 2pm checkout was also good!
Very good rooms (but poor sound isolation between rooms) - very good design - good price for the hotel - good view from the top restaurant (expensive by the way, but good food) - good english speaking staff
However no room service and no food available after midnight. As we arrived at 2am at the hotel from the airport, we were quite disappointed on this point - The sound isolation is very poor between rooms (however very good with the corridor). We could hear our left neighbour snoaring very well. Unfortunately, the right neighbour room was a kind of multiple beds room with young people in, then very noisy. We spent 4 bad nights due to the noise of the neighbour room, we felt more to be in a hostel... We were waken up several times in the nights (even with ear plugs that we bought especially on the 2nd day). Other bad point, the food is very expensive, eg watermelon juice at 68 RMB as normal price is 15 RMB elsewhere.
